How to reach the refuge

From Udine: go along the A23 highway, take the SP125 heading for Tolmezzo, take the SS52 following the road signs to Villa Santina and Forni Avoltri.
When you get to Forni Avoltri follow the road signs to Collina and go on towards Tolazzi refuge. Here you will find a large and free parking area.

From Venice-Mestre: go along the highway, heading for Cadore, Sappada and then Forni Avoltri. When you get to Forni Avoltri follow the road signs to Collina and go on towards Tolazzi refuge. Here you will find a large and free parking area.

You can reach the Lambertenghi-Romanin refuge in a 2 hours hike along the CAI 144 trail (which starts on the road and then goes on as a mule track). The height difference is of 605 metres.

Take into consideration that the time may vary according to your training level.
